It’s no doubt that Alicia Keys looks beautiful with and without makeup and a lot of this is down to a flawless skincare routine as well as, of course, good genes.
The singer’s makeup artist, Dotti, recently revealed her secret weapons for bare-face beauty in an article in US beauty bible, Allure. Dotti said the start ‘swears by’ the new Éminence Rosehip & Lemongrass Repair Balm (30ml, RRP £57.00).
After cleansing Alicia’s skin and applying a mask (the refining Éminence Clear Skin Probiotic Masque (60ml, RRP £41.00, is one of The Voice judge’s favourites), Dotti applies the Éminence Rosehip & Lemongrass Repair Balm to “up the dewiness of Keys’s skin” (Allure). This ultra-rich balm is infused with rosehip oil to improve the skin’s moisture, tone and texture, as well as lemongrass (a natural astringent) to minimise the appearance of pores, revealing a picture perfect complexion.
The star is clearly loving her make-up free existence as she told Allure, “One thing I’ve heard more than ever is this glow that people refer to that I have. I kind of recognize that glow because I’ve begun to listen to myself inside. And I think there’s something really powerful that happens when you start to listen to yourself. It makes you feel more aware. In touch. More confident. …And that’s taken a little minute to arrive at that place. But there’s definitely something powerful about the way your inner feels that reflects on the outer, on your skin. That, to me, is real beauty.”
