We are always fans of the M.A.C Viva Glam launches, which works as the product side of The M.A.C AIDS Fund, the philanthropic arm of M.A.C Cosmetics that launched in 1994. The fund is a leader in the global fight against HIV and AIDS, supporting organisations in more than 96 countries and territories that are working to combat the epidemic and improve the lives of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
The latest in the Viva Glam releases comes from one of our favourite actresses, Taraji P. Henson. The award-winning star is joined by her on screen son, Jussie Smollett, in her campaign for the lipstick and lipglass duo, looking dope in biker leathers and pork pie hats.
The bold pink shade of the lip pair are to be worn with confidence and pizazz and can brighten up any look. Our beauty editor, Sarah, thinks the shade is perfect for darker skin to step into spring, “It’s vibrant and has as much sass as the actress herself. We’ll be flaunting these rich fuschia shades on our lips this spring. It works especially well on those with warmer undertones, and you can wear it alone or layered for a powerful pop of colour.”
The pair are available from maccosmetics.co.uk from the 16th of February. The Lipstick is £16.50 and the Lipglass is £15. In the UK, the full RRP less VAT of VIVA GLAM Lipstick and Lipglass goes to help fight HIV/AIDS.
