If you’re looking for some motivation to set your 2019 off in the right way, then look no further than the inspirational natural hair brand Afrocenchix. A few nights ago Afrocenchix were announced as one of four winners of the second annual WeWork Creator Global Finals in Los Angeles, a major global initiative that recognises and rewards creators across all industries and all stages of growth by committing funding to entrepreneurs, small businesses, growing companies, nonprofits,
performing artists and more.
After tens of thousands of creators and innovators applied and hundreds were called upon to pitch their life’s mission at Regional Semi-Final events across the globe, eight global finalists competed in front of a panel of notable judges – including Sean“Diddy” Combs, Gary Vaynerchuk , Ashton Kutcher – not to mention a live audience of over 6,000. The ladies wowed the esteemed panel of judges and the audience with their sincere and passionate pledge to continue their mission to provide safer haircare products for those with Afro textured hair.
Afrocenchix was founded by Black British entrepreneurs Racheal Corson and Joycelyn Mate in 2010, and has since become the go-to brand for quality products that blends natural and organic ingredients presented in an environmentally friendly, fuss free manor. The ladies received $180,000 in funding in the Business Venture category. We couldn’t be happier for them.
